Wenatchee Valley College is hosting informational meetings on the Running Start program in March and April.

Running Start allows high school juniors and seniors to take college courses while still in high school, earning both high school and college credits. Students don’t pay tuition, but are required to pay for books and some fees and provide their own transportation.

Current high school sophomores and juniors — and their parents — interested in taking Running Start classes next fall at the Wenatchee campus are invited to attend one of the informational sessions scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through March and April 8 and 10. The meetings take place in Van Tassell Center on the WVC campus. Sessions in Spanish are offered at 5:30 p.m. March 7, 14, 21 and 28 in room 2106 in Wenatchi Hall. To sign up, go to wwrld.us/2UlEoz0.

An informational meeting for Entiat students and parents is set at 6 p.m. March 12 at Entiat High School.

Informational meetings for prospective WVC Omak campus Running Start students are planned at area high schools. For details on those scheduled meetings, call Glenn Burnett at (509) 422-7848.

Information sessions are mandatory before enrolling in the program.
