WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee School Board will take a close look Friday at how decisions made in Olympia this spring will impact the district’s balance sheet in the coming year.
The board has scheduled a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the district’s central office, 235 Sunset Ave.
In addition to the legislative impacts from changes to levy rules, costs for school employee benefits and class-size reduction requirements, the agenda includes department and program updates and a personnel report.
The department updates — covering curriculum and instruction, state and federal programs, migrant/bilingual, AVID and highly capable and special education program — are slated from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the personnel report at 10:45. The budget discussion is set from 11 a.m. to noon.
The workshop is open to the public and will be available via live stream at wenatcheeschools.org/board/live-school-board-meetings.
