WENATCHEE — Local vision group Our Valley, What’s Next has decided what’s next: a new name.
The 15-month-old group has rebranded itself as Our Valley, Our Future and will unveil the name, a new logo and its 150-project action plan at a celebratory luncheon 11:30 a.m. Nov. 30 at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
“The original name was designed to have residents ask questions and visualize,” said Our Valley coordinator Steve Maher. Now that an action plan is in hand, “it was time to change the name to show we do have a definitive, long-term plan to revitalize our communities.”
The new name — also rebranded in Spanish as Nuestro Valle, Nuestro Futuro — coincides with internal changes in the group’s organizational and leadership structure, said Maher.
When unveiled, the action plan will include 36 strategies, 151 specific actions and seven “game-changer” projects led by 66 businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and civic groups, said Maher.
The action plan luncheon on Nov. 30 is open to the public, but reservations are required. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org before 5 p.m. Nov. 28.
